Hi, I’m Hannah Strange!
I’ve been married to my husband, Tanner, for 10 years, and together we’re raising our three beautiful girls on our cattle farm. Life out here is busy and full—we’ve got cattle, chickens, and more dogs and cats than I can count, and our girls get to be just as free-range as our animals!
Birth has always been something that amazes me. Back when I was 16, I volunteered on a labor and delivery floor, and I knew right then that I wanted to be part of the birth world. Now, all these years later, I get to live out that passion by supporting families in one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
I’d love to sit down over coffee with you, hear your hopes for your birth, and see if we’re the right fit for one another. If you choose to invite me into your birth space, know that I don’t take that lightly—it’s an incredible honor. I’ll be there to support you fully, with respect, care, and encouragement for whatever your birth journey looks like.
What Is A Birth Doula?
A Birth Doula accompanies women in labor to help couples have a more satisfying birth experience. She does not replace the partner as the woman's support person, but can relieve him/her if they need a break and provide them with suggestions for helping the woman in labor. She provides physical comfort, emotional support, and as needed, communication with the staff to make sure you have the information needed to make informed decisions as they arise during labor. A doula can make suggestions for labor progress and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort. Your doula is self- employed and works for you, not your caregiver or hospital.
My Birth Doula services include:
- A free initial consultation which does not obligate you to use my services
- At least two prenatal visits to discuss your birth plan and expectations
- Prenatal support by phone, text or email
- 24 hours on call which begins at 38 weeks
- Labor and birth support for mother and her birth team
- Support after the birth until mom is comfortable and breastfeeding (1-2 hours)
- 1 postpartum visit scheduled at your convenience
- Postpartum and breastfeeding support as needed by phone and text
